Solo show with new work
Location: Rivoli building, Brussels
Peggy Wauters (°1968, Aalst) is a multidisciplinary Belgian artist who works across a variety of media, including sculptures, paintings, photo collages, installations and works on paper, often mixed in a way that provides a fresh view of her subject matter.
Peggy Wauters creates a disrupted reality, an alienating world that we can study in detail and reconstruct with extreme precision, but which remains essentially mysterious . A world in which people often perform strange, useless acts. A world in which man is threatened by his kind or by an indifferent nature.
In the upcoming solo exhibition in our Brussels’ gallery Peggy Wauters will present new small format paintings, drawings, collages and installations united by the theme of ‘lights’.
Peggy Wauters has studied Plastic Arts (the RITO Aalst), Decorative Arts and Crafts (at the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts in Aalst) and Monumental Arts (at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp). Her work is exhibited globally, and is included in multiple Belgian en foreign collections.
